Funding by the Dutch Research Council (NWO)

This project is funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO; reference number 401.16.020) in the setting of the Replicationstudies granting scheme. This unique scheme was setup to provide funding for studies that focus on replication of cornerstone studies. In that setting, our initial study investigating the association of gestational thyroid function and antibodies with preterm delivery was setup as an individual participant data meta-analysis essentially aiming to replicate previous results utilizing a uniform methodology that is in line with current standards and guidelines. Subsequent meta-analyses are underway, combining observational studies and assessing other outcomes, and a new arm within the consortium is now aiming to replicate the results of randomized trials using a similar individual participant data meta-analysis approach.
